North Shore Bathroom Renovations is a lead referral service. We do not carry out building, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing or tiling work. Enquiries submitted through this website are referred to independent, third-party contractors operating on Sydney's North Shore.
What that means for you
The contractor who attends your measure provides the quote, holds the contract, carries out the work and is responsible for it. Any warranty on workmanship is theirs. Any statutory home building compensation cover required for the job is arranged by them.
Licensing and insurance
We ask the contractors we work with to hold the NSW licences and insurance appropriate to the work they take on, and to use separately licensed trades for plumbing and electrical work.
We do not independently verify licences or insurance on an ongoing basis, and we make no representation that any particular contractor holds any particular licence, class of licence, accreditation or cover.
Before work starts, ask the contractor to show you their licence and their certificate of currency, and check the licence number on the NSW Fair Trading public register. If a contractor is reluctant to do that, treat it as information.
Approvals
Where a job needs strata approval, council consent, or approval under a heritage listing or conservation area, the contractor can tell you what is likely to be required based on their experience. They cannot decide it, and neither can we. Your owners corporation, your council or an accredited certifier makes those decisions.
Nobody on this site can promise you an approval, or a timeframe for one.
